Krommenie, de avond voor kerst, 24 december 2023. Fakkeloptocht tegen discriminatie in dit dorp waar in 2023 Zwarte Piet nog volledig blackface was net als de andere deelgemeenten in Zaanstad. Zaanstad, de gemeente waar jarenlang bajesboten in de haven hebben gelegen om vluchtelingen in op te sluiten. Een gemeente met een mensenrechtenmonument in het stadscentrum van Zaandam.
Uit de aankondiging:
“Iedereen Anders, Iedereen Gelijk. – Nederland heeft behoefte aan verbinding, aan begrip voor elkaar. Je kleur zou niet moeten uitmaken. Je geloof zou niet moeten uitmaken. Of je nu christen, joods, of moslim bent. Of geen enkel geloof aanhangt. Je geaardheid zou niet moeten uitmaken. In Nederland zou iedereen zich veilig moeten voelen. Zo zou ons Nederland moeten zijn. Zo willen wij dat ons Nederland is.”
Zaanstad, ook: een plaats van schijnheiligheid, ooit een ‘rood’ bolwerk van verzet in de tweede wereldoorlog. Ook: de plek waar ik ben opgegroeid, voor het eerst actief ben geworden, en ook nu weer woon. En in deze plaats, in het dorp Krommenie, vindt jaarlijks op die vooravond van kerst deze fakkeloptocht plaats. Lees verder

En ook niet waar de organisatie van de klimaatmars twee spreeksters de mond snoert.
Waar zal ik beginnen? De klimaatmars vandaag? Wat er aan vooraf ging? Woest was ik vanmiddag. Woest ben ik nog steeds. Dit wil ik er nu over zeggen. Ongecensureerd. Zonder edits.
Al voor de mars van vandaag kwam er bericht dat de organisatie van de klimaatmars de woorden ‘From the river to the sea’ niet wilde horen. Een van de spreeksters, Sahar Shirzad, zou het niet mogen uitspreken. Het was reden om de leuze ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ juist veelvuldig te scanderen tijdens de mars. We deden het vanuit het zwart groene blok (eco anarchisme), maar meer mensen deden het. Ik heb een Palestijnse vrouw in tranen gezien van emotie toen wij het deden, ons niks aantrokken van alle vuile hetze vanuit het zionistische kamp, de media, de meeheulende politici en nu de organisatie van de klimaatmars. Fuck die bullshit, wij roepen dit.

Recorded on Tuesday October 24 2023 as the genocide on the people of Palestine unfolds further and further. The governments of the whole colonial western world support the settler colonial terror apartheid state of Israel in it’s effort to wipe out the people of Palestine completely in a final ethnic cleansing. Meanwhile all around the world protests grow.
As I publish this video, it has come out that last night, Friday October 27th, Israel has made sure no information of the situation in Gaza comes out anymore by destroying phone and internet connections. So whatever comes next, like more phosphor bombs, carpet bombing, the use of nerve gas, goes unnoticed. THIS IS NOT A WAR. THIS IS GENOCIDE. HUMAN RIGHTS FOR PALESTINIANS DO NOT EXIST. STOP APARTHEID. END COLONIALISM.
